WHO WE ARE

The Emergency Volunteers Project (EVP) is a 501(c3) organization established 16 years ago to assist Israel’s civilians, the emergency services and support the IDF during times of national emergency. Since our foundation we have trained thousands of volunteers from the US (such as professional firefighters, medical and mass feeding teams) in the skills required to work with Israel’s emergency services and the IDF in times of crisis – we are the only organization that has the approval from the Israeli Parliament, Minister of Defense, Minister of Interior, the IDF and the Israeli Fire & Rescue Services to do what we do. We regularly bring in teams of volunteers to work with their respective units and have brought large teams on all the conflicts and emergency’s Israel had since 2007.

Mass-Feeding Responders

In a national emergency, hundreds of thousands of people will be in a situation where access to fresh, nutritious meals is limited or non-existent. In a partnership with the Ministry of Defense and the IDF, EVP has established a fleet of mobile kitchens that will be deployed to provide fresh, healthy meals to needy populations across Israel during and after national emergencies and disasters.

Medical First Responders

EVP Medical First Responders are needed with a wide variety of background and skills to work alongside the Israeli partners in the ER, OR, ICU, Operating Theater, Delivery Rooms and other hospital departments.The EVP medical teams are licensed Physicians, PA's, Nurses and Paramedics, who volunteer to deploy to Israel in times of crisis.

Firefighters - Search & Rescue

The EVP Firefighting & Rescue First Responders are the first ever units of their kind that consist of individuals from the USA who come together as active volunteers in Israel’s firefighting and rescue services. During crises and wartime situation, the number of incidents is more than three times greater than normal. This huge increase in workload means that fire and rescue teams take far longer to provide life-saving help.

BBQ's for IDF Soldiers Team

The EVP BBQ units manned by a dedicated team of EVP cooks from Israel led by Chef Moshe Badishi, will provide troops with a great meal – Steaks, Smoked beef, kebab’s, chicken (Pargiot), Chorizos sausages, etc..  with side dishes including jacket potatoes, rice, salads, soft drinks – a meal to fit a king!
