Palestinian terrorists fire rocket propelled grenades (RPG's) at an Israeli patrol

Miraculously, no injuries were reported.  However, the sophisticated, electronic border fence was damaged - but swiftly repaired by the IDF's technical corps.

The IDF patrol returned fire in the direction of the rocket attack and received assistance from a tank unit, but it is not known if the terrorists suffered any casualties.

Following the attack, the IDF Southern Command issued a statement:  "We see these attacks as acts of terror aimed at Israel Defense Forces soldiers protecting Israel's borders from incursion."

The statement went on to say:  "The IDF holds the Hamas terror organization and ts leadership fully responsible for any and all terror acts originating from the Gaza Strip.  These terrorist actions, place the people of Gaza at risk and the Hamas must also bear full responsibility for any military operation mounted in the future to protect Israelis' and restore peace in the area."
