FIREFIGHTERS & RESCUE TEAMS
VOLUNTEER IN ISRAEL
Israel’s National Fire and Rescue Services opens this project to professional active firefighters who are prepared to assist the State of Israel’s first or second lines of civil defense. Our firefighting units are the first of their kind that consist of individuals from around the world who come together as active volunteers in Israel. Firefighters will be assigned to a specific fire station in Israel and will operate alongside their Israeli brothers and sisters.
Who Can Join
Volunteers must be professional firefighters with a minimum of two years filed experience that have graduated a basic firefighting course and are active firefighters that have maintain a level of physical fitness in accordance with the demands of their local fire service. Firefighters will have to have a letter of recommendation from their station chief and to complete a personal interview followed by an EVP training.
Emergency Deploymdnt
Emergency deployment will occur only at the request of the appropriate Israeli governmental body (Government Ministry, Fire Service, IDF, or other authorized body). Once an alert notification or activation order is received, Senior EVP staff will determine the appropriate alert level, and which teams will be notified for possible deployment. All activation procedures will follow predefined protocols and procedures.
Things you need to know
- Certified firefighters in accordance with local ordinances.
- Graduates of basic firefighting courses in their home communities.
- Firefighters with another profession or specialty.
- Must have a level of physical fitness in accordance of the local fire service.
- A letter of recommendation from their station chief at their place of work.
- All candidates will have a personal interview.
Firefighters will be assigned to a specific fire service station in Israel and will operate according to the orders by the Israeli Fire Service officers. Professional firefighters with a minimum of two years working experience. All others will be evaluated on an individual basis upon request.
