VOLUNTEER IN ISRAEL
During an emergency the majority of available manpower resources will be allocated to the military, resulting in a compelling need to significantly reinforce depleted resources available for the home front. These reinforcements will be provided by EVP through volunteers from outside of Israel who have undergone specific and targeted training and have been certified with EVP accordingly.
Deploy to Israeli Hospitals
EVP is recruiting certified and active medical doctors, PA’s, nurses and paramedics with the following specializations: Orthopods, Anesthesiologists, ICU, Trauma, Surgery, Opthomalogists, Plastic Surgery, ER, Internal Medicine Nurses: ER, OR, ICU, Pediatric and NICU, Recovery Room, and Maternity. Active paramedics with a minimum of 2 years of field experience.
Deploy to the IDF Medical Corp
The IDF and EVP are building teams of Doctors who will practice medicine as volunteers of the IDF and provide on-the-ground support to medical units and the civilians. The physicians will undergo a specialized training in the US or in Israel. The physicians will not be required to enter into active combat zones but will provide medical treatment both in staging areas, IDF ambulances, IDF clinics and medical facilities.
All qualified individuals who meet the standards and criteria may apply for EVP membership by submitting a completed application via the EVP web site. All forms must be completed in full. Fields that do not apply to the candidate should be marked "N/A". Applications cannot be considered unless a completed form and all relevant supporting documation have been submitted.
EVP reserves the right to request additional information if deemed necessary to complete the application process.
Background check
Upon receipt of the completed application, including authorization for a background check, EVP will initiate a background check which includes a criminal background check, as well as certain other details as may be required. This background check takes approximately two weeks to complete. Details are confidential and will not be released to any third parties other than those necessary to complete the application review. Failure to pass the background check will result in rejection of the application. Any history of felony arrest or prosecution, including violence, sexual misconduct, or drug use, will result in an automatic rejection of the application.
Interview
Following initial approval of the application and while the background investigation is underway, each candidate will be interviewed either in person or via video conference. The interview will allow both EVP and the applicant to better understand the roles and responsibilities of EVP membership. For those volunteers who are ready to deploy to Israel in times of emergency, the pressures and risks associated with emergency deployment will also be discussed. The interview will form the basis for both parties to make an informed decision about EVP membership.
Following review and application approval, the volunteer will be provided a Personal Profile Page on the EVP web site. This is a personal area to assist the volunteers in raising the financial resources for training and deployment.
Once accepted, members will receive more information regarding deployment protocols and emergency activation procedures. Volunteers will be informed of upcoming, peacetime/regular deployments and the requirements to join a team. In the event of an emergency activation, appropriate volunteers will be contacted to determine if they are willing/eligible for deployment and their preferred deployment wave (immediate, second wave or successive waves).
