The Emergency Volunteers Project (EVP) is a 501(c3) organization established 16 years ago to assist Israel’s civilians, the emergency services and the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) during times of national emergency. Since its foundation EVP has trained thousands of volunteers from the US in the skills required to work with Israel’s emergency services and the IDF in times of crisis. EVP regularly bring in teams of volunteers to work with their respective units and have brought large teams on all the conflicts and emergency’s Israel had since 2007. EVP’s ‘Mass-Feeding Unit’ has two main areas of responsibility, both in the areas of feeding during times of normality and crisis. Right now, Israel needs your help as we fight to protect our country and our people. Please support us in raising the funds to build and equip the Broward Community Mass Feeding Mobile Kitchen with the tools & cooking equipment for immediate use by EVP volunteers to provide hot meals to soldiers at IDF bases and civilian populations throughout Israel.

IT WAS 4:00 AM, THANKSGIVING MORNING.

MY PHONE VIBRATED ON THE NIGHT STAND AND THE TEXT READ 'WE’RE DEPLOYING TO ISRAEL-- LEAVING IN 6 HOURS. I LEANED OVER TO KISS MY FIANCÉE GOODBYE AND LEFT FOR THE LONG FLIGHT FROM LAX TO BEN GURION AIRPORT.
